Oscar Wilde once said that 'Nothing makes one so vain as being told one is a sinner'. I'd rather say a 'rebel' instead of a 'sinner'.
Maybe this is the reason why the mass drug-alchol-lechery-leather&perhidrol phenomena is perceived as hyper cool. Maybe that is why being a depraved whore is taken as an artistic self-expression and drug addicts are just intellectuals that outgrew their time.
No matter what, the Rebel is an international label that makes tons of money- this is a fact. The whole rebel thing is a dream-machine factory, an inspiration, a cure for the soul and a favourite poison for the body.
